Agent
Agent
Ask questions, or let Tetrarch edit the project while you review each change.
The agent panel is the conversation. Ask mode answers and leaves files alone. Agent mode can change the project. You keep or undo every edit.
Ask
Use Ask for an explanation, a trace, or a second opinion. Tetrarch uses its picture of the codebase and the files it needs, then answers in the panel.
Where is the receipt total calculated, and which test covers a declined payment?
Agent
Use Agent when you want the code changed. Describe the outcome. Tetrarch edits the files and shows the diff.
Show tax on its own line under the total. Follow the cart component that is already there, and update the test that covers that screen.
What it can do
- Search the repo and read the files that matter, including images
- Edit files and show you the diff
- Run commands in the project terminal
- Open a page in the browser and report what it sees
- Ask you a question while it keeps working
- Make an image when you ask for one
Checkpoints
Before a large edit, Tetrarch can save a checkpoint of the files it is about to touch. If the turn goes wrong, restore that checkpoint from the chat. The conversation stays. Git remains the history you keep.
While it is working
Press Enter to queue the next instruction until the current turn finishes. Press Cmd+Enter on Mac, or Ctrl+Enter on Windows and Linux, to send it now. A side chat, started with /side, holds a tangent without derailing the main thread. /goal gives the agent a longer objective to finish.
