Plan mode

Settle the approach, then let Tetrarch build it.

Plan mode is for work that spans files, needs a look around first, or should wait until you agree. Switch to it from the mode picker, or press Shift+Tab in the agent input.

What you get

• Tetrarch looks through the repo for the files involved
• It asks when something is still ambiguous
• It writes a plan you can read and edit in the chat
• It waits. Files stay as they are until you approve

Plan a way for a shopper to save a cart and find it on the next visit. Hold the code until I approve the plan.

After you approve, the same review applies: read the diff, keep what you want, undo the rest. You can save the plan into the project if the team should see it later.

When it fits

• More than one reasonable way to build it
• A change that touches many areas
• Requirements you still need to pin down
• A decision you want to read before anyone edits

A change you have made many times can go straight to Agent.

If the build misses

Go back to the plan, tighten the outcome, and run it again. That is usually faster than stacking corrections on a turn that started from the wrong picture.
